It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a team that has accomplished all there is.

That comment will be the last competing nations at this tournament should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory coming after success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.
